In the Schmidt Vocal competition 2025, held at the Biene School of Music at Northwestern University, I was selected as one of ten finalists. For my performance, I sang “Ah, Spietato” from Handel’s “Amadigi di Gaula”, “Love, I Have Won You” by Landon Ronald, and “Botschaft” by Brahms.
I had competed in the same competition the previous year without receiving an award, so being named a finalist this year served as a clear reflection of my fast progress and growth as a singer, both in technicality and expressivity.
Participating in the competition also provided me with the opportunity to gain valuable stage experience and insight into performing under high professional conditions, motivating me to continue to improve as a young singer.
