Musical – MAK

I took part in a musical celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Korean American Association, which portrayed the experiences of early Korean immigrants in the United States. I performed both as a violin soloist and a background ensemble singer, contributing to the musical’s storytelling through both instrumental and vocal performance.

It was my first time participating in a production focused on the Korean American experience, and it gave me a valuable perspective on how history and art can intersect. Working with professional actors and musicians offered an inside look at how a large-scale musical is created—from rehearsals to live stage coordination. The project not only expanded my performance experience but also helped me better understand the process behind producing a professional musical. It strengthened my appreciation for collaboration and taught me how music can play a role in preserving and sharing cultural history.
